It started with a series of audiovisual performances entitled "Answers Come In Dreams" from 2007-2009.
The sound and image evolved in live performances over time while the setup remained essentially Ableton Live with Max/MSP in a master/slave relationship with Isadora or VDMX for visual manipulation in real time.
At some point I got fed-up with the GPU ceiling constantly rising and decided to move on.
After watching the excellent 1980 PBS version of Ursula K. LeGuin's novel "The Lathe of Heaven" I was inspired to collect the various sonic elements into an album format.
The original release was as an online album through Alias Frequencies in 2010.
There are two deleted scenes (7) and (9) that have returned as they as they would have been sequenced along with a 20min drone piece that was intended as a companion EP but never released.
10 years later it is still the fussiest release with the most amount of development time of anything I have done.
This version took over a year to remaster because the original sound features deliberately broken sonic events. Finding the right tools and approach to improve the sound without sanitising it was important. Maybe this is a sign of quality? It remains a pretty unique work within my tangled discography and reminds me of an especially creative time in a vibrant and exciting community.

A prescription for the enhancement of oneirological pursuits, be it art, reading, sleep, or a free three-quarter hour meditation in an unlit space. It evolves and so will you.
